It's All About Jesus.
Everyone has an opinion about Jesus. Maybe you think he was a great prophet or teacher. Maybe you think he was a revolutionary martyr. Maybe you think he didn't exist at all. Whatever you believe, we can probably agree that He changed history.
Many people believe that Christianity is an exclusive religion. Nothing could be further from the truth! Jesus' claims are absolutely inclusive. Regardless of who you are, your past, where you were born, or the color of your skin, Jesus offers you an invitation to belong. Everyone is invited to the party.
So how do you become a Christian?
Look at what the Bible says:
It's that simple.
Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and the resurrection is a reality. If you do that, your sins will be forgiven and you step into new life with a relationship with your Creator. Do that, and you are a Christian.
But don't I have to clean my life up to be a Christian?
You don't change so that God can love you. That's what religion teaches. Jesus didn't die to establish a new religion.
Every religion apart from Christianity tells us that we have to "do" in order to receive. Christianity teaches that Jesus' sacrifice writes "done" over all of our attempts to please God.
We don't change in order to receive love. We change because we've experienced the greatest love. Over time, God changes you as you follow Jesus. You change because you're loved, not in order to be loved.
If you believe, and commit your life to following Jesus, your life will never be the same. Believing in Jesus is the first step in the greatest journey of your life. It's the start of a new beginning.

I've Chosen to Follow Jesus. Now What?
Read the Bible.
So you want to get to know God But how? We're glad you asked!
Start praying (talk to God..He hears you!)
But prayer really shines when it's paired with reading your Bible.
Relationship with God is a two way conversation. Prayer is a way to speak to God and for him to speak to you. Reading the Bible is the primary way that God speaks to us. And it's the best way, hands down, to discover how to follow Jesus on a daily basis.
We recommend downloading the Youversion Bible App.
If you'd like a hard copy of the Bible, stop by our guest services area on a Sunday and pick one up for free. It's our gift to you.
For starters, we recommend reading the Bible for 10 minutes a day.
Start with the gospel of John. It's a great intro into the life of Jesus and the message of the gospel.
Baptism is something that Christians have been doing for centuries. It is a public declaration that you are a new person. If you've been baptized as an infant, we'd love the opportunity to baptize you again because this time, it's your choice.
